Elves are a scarce race in the Lands of Mythron. The faction that has attracted the most elves seems to be the Nerogue faction. That might be due to the fact that the faction leader is, in fact, an elf. They are also highly-prevalent in the Dragon Clan of Rainos, adding an air of dignity and civilization to that clan.
At least two early builders have alluded to past persecutions of elves by humans. Some accounts say that many of them were placed in fortified reservations, others that they were driven from Mythron. (These additions to the Mythronian history were placed before the rule requiring such matters to be checked with faction leaders beforehand, although it is likely that these dark spots of history arose from the before the reign of the current king's father, a time that all agree was dark for Mythron).
Elves are frequently viewed as being merrier, more poetic, faster, more graceful, more agile, better-sighted and wiser than the majority of their mortal counterparts. They are also traditionally associated with the finest materials and magic, and their metal goods (often enchanted) can rival those of the finest smiths of other species. Whether all of these generalizations are true in the Lands of Mythron, where all sorts of people are exceptionally gifted, remains to be seen.
